Frequently Asked Questions

When searching for a new mattress, you'll quickly encounter a lot of technical jargon used to convince consumers of your new purchase. Every mattress has its advantages and disadvantages. What exactly do they mean? And what are the advantages and disadvantages? We'll discuss it below!

What do the mattresses look like on the inside?

Pocket spring:Consists of hundreds of individual springs, each encased in its own pocket. They move independently, providing targeted support and ventilation. Pocket springs are covered with a comfort layer of foam, latex, or another material. In our case, the Ubed BreezeLayers™. Ideal for those who value targeted support and temperature regulation.

Cold foam:Made from a single, solid foam layer. It offers pressure distribution but can quickly feel a bit solid and insulating. Despite being called cold foam, it doesn't feel cool because its cell structure is still too dense. This can make it feel warmer and more "stuffy," especially for those who toss and turn frequently or are sensitive to temperature.

To the mattress selection test

Choose a pocket spring mattress if you:

  • Like to sleep on your back or stomach and want to lie firmly
  • Get warm quickly and are looking for a mattress that breathes well
  • Likes a springy feel with a bit more "bounce"
  • Want to move freely without the mattress holding you back?

NB:it is important that the pocket spring mattress in this case is covered with a quality layer, such as the Ubed BreezeTp™

Choose a cold foam mattress if you:

  • Sleeps peacefully and doesn't turn much, so flexibility during the day is less important.
  • Preferably a little deeper in your mattress for an enclosed feeling.
  • You are not bothered by heat.
